Specs: N/A
I have Vista, with a 896 video card, 2.20 ghz, quad core, LX 6200 gateway. I hit the boot button stays on the gateway insignia for longer than usual. Then it goes to a black screen that reads

Yukon PXE v6. 22.1.3 (20070803) etc...
Pre-boot eXecution environment

etc .
PXE-E53: no boot filename received

Reboot and select proper boot device Or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key.

I dont have boot disk, this was a refurb when I purchased it at comp usa.

The bios isn't finding your hard drive or the hard drive isn't in the boot order or isn't enabled as a boot device in the boot order. Go into cmos/bios setup and make sure all that is OK.

If that's not it, open the case and verify the hard drive data cable is in good condition and tightly connected. Try a different power connection to the drive as the contacts in the molex connector can get flared out and not make a good connection.

If that's not it, the drive is probably dead.

Real men don't use AntiVirus; they just reformat
