Reply: (edit)hmmm did you originally put a password onto the my documents folder? Iv'e never seen that before where it would not let you access the my documents folder unless your using a program on it or? otherwise I have no clue, have you tried going through local c and through your name to see if you could access it that way? Reply: (edit)Because "My Documents" is secured to the account that made it. You should be able to read it using an Administrator's account. Reply: (edit)not sure if this will help, if you know the name of one of the files, then go to Windows Explorer and see if you can find it using the search function, making sure you search the correct drive *AND* go into the Advanced options and tick the hidden files/folders part. Please let us know if this worked

Reply: (edit)I dont know the answer to unlocking it, my suggestion was suggested as a work around, If you search for hidden files by name can you go straight to one of those files and open it and then resave it on the other drive? Does that at least work?, I know you need to know the file names, but i would be interested to know if this actually works (as a work around)

Reply: (edit)Thats an easy one! lol Log on as Admin using safe mode. Right click my documents folder and properties. Go to advanced. Select Security. Then Ownership. Then select replace folder and contents ownership for Admin Group. After this you will have complete access to the folder. Better yet use this on the entire HD and have complete access to the disc. Good luck. I'm just a shadow of my former self!
