Hi everyone

My newly installed 500watt PSU has a strange problem. When I first power up the PC, the fans and HD/CD lights come on but the BIOS does not even load. 2 or 3 tries later and all is well. It seems like this problem only happens when the PSU is cold and left off for a few hours.

I've got a ATI 9800 video card and a MSI mobo. There are no beeps on startup, which makes it even more baffling.

Thanks for any help.

Keep in mind the rest of the system is also cold. A flakey connection on the motherboard or CPU can cause the same problem.
