PSU ok 295 gtx

Specs: Windows XP, Core 2 Duo /4gigs
I have a ULTRA-QUIET PSU: SILENCER® 750 ATX PSU and 1 260gtx and want to upgrade to the new 295gtx. Will my current PSU be ok?

According the the specs on that PSU you have 60A on the single +12V rail. That should be more than enough for any graphics card available.

FYI, from what I could find on that monster card it could pull as much as 289 watts. If all was off the +12V rail that equates to about 24A. While that is a huge draw for a graphics card, it should be well within the capacity of your PSU (60A @+12V).

Most of the remaining hardware draws minimal +12V compared to any graphics card. The processor is the next big current draw. Your E6600 draws 65 Watts.

IMO, it's not worth spending $500 for a maybe a 20FPS increase in games that most likely play decently with the 260GTX.
