Can I use a 500w PSU with a 4-pin CPU connector, with this motherboard? It has an 8-pin CPU connector, but four of the pins are blocked out.

I'm not gonna try to talk you out of the board...you obviously feel the need to spend more money. I suggest you go to the Gigabyte website, download the manual & familiarize yourself with it. See page 23 for info about the power supply connections.

The thing is, is that the other boards don't have built in firewire, I would have to waste a whole pci slot for a firewire card. Thanks.
