PSU for new system

OS: Win XP Pro w/sp2
CPU/Ram: AMD Athlon 6000+ X2/ 2Gb
Model/Manufacturer: Home-Built
Comment:
Hi,

I recently built a computer and have now found that the power supply I have (OEM with the case) is not going to cut it. My PC specs are:

Mobo: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe
CPU: AMD 6000+ X2 AM2
HDDs: 2 x Seagate 400Gb
Gfx: Asus 8600GT

And not too much else, case fans etc. I will be adding lighting to the case later on, but that doesn't draw all the much power as far as I know.

I have looked into options, and here is what I can afford. Tell me your opinions and what would be best in my price range.

http://www.pccasegear.com/prod3690.htm - It only has two 12v rails, but it has good reviews at Viperlair and other sites.

or

http://www.pccasegear.com/prod5595.htm - Three 12v rails, but not sure about this vs the Hiper PSU.

I am swinging toward the Hiper PSU as it has the looks, but if the thermaltake does it over because of three rails, then I will go with that and mod the housing colour. Hopefully it won't sell out.

Someone explain the advantage of three over two rails or what not. I understand its more amperage, but for my system, will I need 48A?

What is everyone's opinion? The Hiper is on sale so it's a good price. (Plus, I am ordering lights from them too.)

Thanks in advance. - James.

Out of those two I would recommend the Thermaltake. Its important not to skimp on the PSU on a new system and I'm not sure how reliable 'Hiper' PSUs are. Thermaltake is one of the better brands out there and its usually best to go with the well known when it comes to PSUs.

Well, the Thermaltake, for the price, is a decent PSU. It's got two more rails than the OEM one does.

*Is unsure*

Any power supply experts here?

Thanks - James.
