hi, i have a xp 1900, geforce 4 mx440 8x, and 256 mb ddr. at the moment, i have a 250watt psu (that is getting VERY hot) and i wondered that a bigger psu would make my computer a bit faster. thanks

A 250 W PSU is very marginal with the components you list. A larger one -- 350 W -- will not make you PC run faster, but it will preclude the whole think shutting down when the 250W PSU burns out.
