Recently my computer broke. Turned it off and when i tried to turn on again, it won't do anything
It turns on, fan working, onboard lan powers on, CD and hard drives power on, but it won't start windows system.
Usually i get one short beep at start but i'm not even getting that now.
So i got down to either CPU, MOBO or power.
Did anyone have same problem?
Is there any way i can check to see which part is defactive?
I have 250w, 1.2athlon, 2 hard, 2cd, videocard, with m810lr mobo.

disconnect HDDs, CD, other cards except for video. leave 1 stick of ram, cpu+fan.

start pc. if still not functioning, the problem is within these components.

if it does function, replace the other parts one by one. booting everytime you add a part

one more thing, i think 250w is too small for 2hdds, 2 cds, 512 ram, 1.2 athlon etc.

Yeah I agree -- the 810 is a very picky board assuing it's a PC Chips 810 and not the Intel 810 chipset your talking about. A 250W PSU isn't really enough to power all of your components. To reduce the load on the PSU remove the AGP/PCI graphics card your using and try booting the system with the onboard VGA, also try what torm said in his first paragraph.

I had a the same problem with that board
it was still under warranty so I took it back to the dealer to fix or replace
the funny thing is it worked for him (as they do when you dont want them to)
seems that board was having troubles in the same areas ie high humidity areas My fix for it was to take the mobo out and run a hair dryer over it try it and see what happens if nothing else works
