Comment: I bought a case with a PSU and it doesn't seem to have a power connector for the graphics card. Is there an adapter I can buy so I can use that PSU or am I going to have to buy a new one? Reply: (edit)the connector is beside the yellow VIVO port and it is a very small 4 pin connector, it looks similar to the fan connector on the card. It isn't molex though. Is the a power connection or a connection for another fan. I don't want to screw up my card. Here is a pic showing the connection: http://images10.newegg.com/productimage/14-102-466-02.JPG it is in front of the black cube-like chip. Reply: (edit)Didn't get an adapter with the card when you bought it? What make card is it? Rule #1: Good Computers don't go down. Rule #2: There is no such thing as a good computer.

Reply: (edit)Most of the PSUs that come packaged with a case are usually cheap crap. A decent PSU costs at least $40-50, so if you didn't pay close to $100 for the case w/PSU, you'd been plan on upgrading it. What's the make/model of the PSU? how many total watts? how many amps on the +12v rail? ASUS A7N8X-X Athlon XP 1800+ 8.5 x 200MHz 1024MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7 Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB WinME/WinXP Pro SP1

Reply: (edit)IMHO - looks like a Sapphire card, if bought retail, you should have gotten a power cable with it that you could plug into your power supply. Rule #1: Good Computers don't go down. Rule #2: There is no such thing as a good computer.

Reply: (edit)I bought it OEM so it didn't come with one. So this IS a power conector? I thought they were supposed to be molex. Do you think I could get 1 from CompUSA? This is an X800PRO. Reply: (edit)If these are buyable, what are they called? I searched for vga power adapter and it came up with things that weren't the right one. Build-in-Progress: NZXT Nemesis Elite Athlon 64 3200 Abit An8 OCZ EL PE Rev2 DDR400 X800PRO flash to 800XT PE A-TOP ATX12V 500W PSU

Reply: (edit)Alright, I am pretty darn sure that that connection is not a power connection because I read that AGP cards usa a standard 4 pin molex and PCI-Express use a special 6 pic connector. Mine is a PCI-Express card and the connection is a tiny little 4 pin connection. I don't think mine requires external power. I can't be sure until I turn the computer on, I should get the cpu tommorrow so I can get it on.
