Comment: i am building my new pc and to date i have an intel d975xbx2 motherboard, intel core 2 duo e6700 processor, samsung 180gb sata hard drive, sony IDE floppy drive, LG dvd IDE drive, 2gb ocz ram and 2x radeon 2600xt graphics cards to run in crossfire. i am worried about which psu to use can anyone offer some light to the situation and advise me on a good one and what wattage i should be using?

Reply: (edit)Looks like the PSU isn't the only thing you should have researched. The 2600XT is an OK mid-range card, but definitely not worthy of Crossfire. I don't know what you paid for them, but I'll guess about $250 for the pair. A single 8800GTS sells for about the same price & will blow your Crossfire config out of the water. Reply: (edit)hahaha thanks jam. from that i see your point, i was lucky though because i got the 2 graphics cards off a friend whos moving abroad and not taking any of his computer stuff, he just bought them said they were pro for the money? never opened, got both for £40 (sterling). i bought them off him because i was under the impression i could not use nvidia cards in this new board for some reason, although they are still pci 16X. thanks for the powerpack adice.
