Comment: Has anyone had experience with using a wireless optical mouse with a KVM switch? The mouse receiver would have to use a ps/2 adapter and then be plugged into the switch. My first instinct is to say that it wouldn't work, but i am looking for someone with similar experience to answer, thanks everyone!

Reply: (edit)I use it and it works just fine I have a Belkin KVM and a logitech cordless mouse with keyboard. The keyboard and mouse connect into the ps/2 ports of the KVM as normal. You may just have to install the drivers in both computers is all. We can fix this, but you're gonna need a butter knife, a roll of duct tape, and a car battery

Reply: (edit)I see no reason why it wouldn't work, they would still operate as standard ps/2 devices, just all the extra gadgets would need the drivers installed on both computers. e.g my mouse has 8 buttons and a scroll (no idea why :) ) that is controlled by the logitech software. Reply: (edit)I have a wireless cherry keyboard + mouse on a Belkin talking to a few machines and have had no problem with the two cables from the receiver going to the KVM. I don't use any drivers as I have no need for the extra keys.
