Comment: k here is my situation, i am trying to plug a dell quietkey keyboard and logitech mouseman wheel mouse into my laptop via ps2 to usb converters considering my laptop doesnt have ps2 connections. when i plug them in it gives me the message, USB Device Not Recognized, blah blah blah. I tried installing drivers for the mouse, xp service packs, changed the bios to enable usb emulation and still nothin. They both are unrecognized devices. In device manager they are listed under USB controllers as Unknown devices, any feedback will be greatly appreciated. And no i dont wanna go out and buy a new mouse, i really like my old ps2 one :)

Reply: (edit)Check the fellowing: http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/comp/micePS2-c.html I know it's talking about PS2 to serial, but i suspect that it applies to USB as well.
