PS2 Mouse not working with KVM

Comment:
I have two different KVM switches and both do the exact same thing; After installing and powering up, Mouse will jump all over the screen. I have tried un-installing the mouse (basic ps/2l) and re-installing. After I un-install, the pc is rebooted and the mouse works fine (with exception to using the wheel), then XP finds the mouse and asks for another reboot which then kills functionality. The mouse works fine without being hooked up to the KVM. Any suggestions? Is it possible I have 2 bad KVM's (my second one has the same problem but it's a sporadic thing; sometimes it will jump and sometimes it won't, but once it starts I must reboot the affected workstation)?

read this http://www.codefusion.org/pub/documents/kvm_mouse.htmlWe do not currently do support for your unix version" -back to the drawing board. I then started messing around with the Windows XP Professional machine. I noticed that is was using a weird Microsoft proprietary driver, and decided to change it. I set the Windows XP Professional machine to use the "Microsoft Standard PS/2 Mouse Driver". Surprised, this solved all my problems. I then switched to a different mouse, a memorex optical mouse, with 5+ buttons, and everything still worked. I have never experienced this problem, but there are reports that disabling the wheel on the mouse in the Windows system will help. So if you try everything here, and still have no luck, try eliminating the wheel out of the equation //

Summary: Just a thought. Your post is "not working with certain device". Have you checked under My Computer to see if it's showing up as another drive? You shouldn't need to flash the BIOs for the USB to wor...
