I have a prosignia 500 server that i have linux installed on.One day i turned it on and it wont boot or do nothing.It just sits there.The video wont even turn on.On the mother board there is a green light now by the battery.Like a little circut,Says cr500 on it.Im not sure what it is. ANY help would be great as im about to throw it out the window. Thanks,.

Don't know if I'll be much help. A few suggestions.
If nothing is happening, then I would suspect the power supply.
If you have text on the screen at some stage, it means it can access the bios [though I'm unsure if its a complete bios or only partial] It would be an idea to test to set if the battery is connected properly or below voltage.
The next thing you may need to do is visit the HP support site. Search for your model. Get a copy of the diagnostics for floppy. You could try a sofpaq if there is one for it there listed.
