Comment:

i was playing AAops the other days and noticed my fps dropped down to 10-15 fps. i normally gets around 35-50 fps in most games.

so i looks in system properties and noticed my processors listing is not there.

this is what im talking about:
in system propreties in the general tap.

system:
MS windwos xp
pro
version 2002

registered to:
xxxxx
xxxxxx
xxxxxxxx

computer:
intel P4 1.90
1.00gb ram

but this time it only shows 1.00gb ram and not the "intel P4 1.90"

this happened over the weekend and now i dont know what to do... all the games runs very choppy now.

ps: system restores doesnt help

The symptoms are bad. :(
The likely cause is the Pentium 4 is overheating. :( Pentium 4s unlike Athlons
intentionally slow down to half speed
with games being slow and jerky when a overheat condition occurs. You should
check the fan and heatsink. Also,
check for viruses.
