First of all, 128°F or 128°C?

Follow these instructions when applying any brand of thermal paste.

Is this 128 reading at idle or under load? Have you sat at the BIOS screen & watched the temp for a while to see what happens?

128F = 53C. Not a great idle temp but probably not a problem. If the temp is under load, it's definitely not a problem.

If the temp is 128C, you have a HUGE problem, probably with the heatsink installation.
