I hope i didn't get screwed..but i recently purchased a computer that was built...I wanted the new Pentium D..dual core...now when i look on my device manager or right click "my computer" it says intel (r) celeron (r) CPU 3.06 GHZ. I'm not too sure, are those the same? I always though celeron was an older processor type? The work order and everything else says "intel pentium D" maybe they didn't give me that? Please help

Download cpu-z and make sure thats what you have but it sounds to me like you got cheated and to answer your question they are two different processors.

You have a Celeron D. Perhaps the "D" messed up the builders. :P
