Hello I have a problem maybe somebody could advise me---Here it is-- a friend gave me a p4 3ghz 512/880 processor.
Can this rig that I have listed below be upgraded:??? I tried replacing the chip out of curiosity and I get a series beeps that sounds like a cheap jingle from a commercial. hahahaha

Your system is OLD & uses the i845 chipset. It only supports 100MHz (400FSB) CPUs...you really should check this stuff out before just going ahead & trying it!
