Ok, I install the motherboard into the case, put the ram in, and tried to start it, the power supply turned, on GOOD... Then i put the processor in... now it won't turn on, it'll try for a half second then turn off... If i take the processor back out, it will start the maching (the power supply) WHAT"S THE DEAL??? With the processor in, and the ram out, it sitll won't start...

Are you using thermal paste? If so, make sure you don't put too much on, it'll short out the processor. A little goes a long way.

Do you have all the connectors from the power supply connected?

There is a little square one that plugs in many mobos in addition to the main rectangular one and the others to the various drives.

It seems like I remember forgetting that one a time or 2 myself and the system would appear doa without it connected.
