I wanted to know if any motherboard that has a socket 775 be able to use any socket 775 processor from single cores, dual cores, and quad cores? May it be a brand name motherboard like dell, hp, gateway, or a motherboard from asus, dfi, msi, and so on.

It depends upon how old the board is. Current boards will support current processors whereas some older socket 775 boards might not support the latest socket 775 CPU's. Some might with a Bios upgrade, but that is no guarantee. Always check the manufacturer's site to determine whether their motherboard will support all 775's including the latest or whatever one you want to upgrade to.

It depends on the chipset the board is based on. If you have a particular CPU/board combo in mind, go to the board manufacturer's website & check the CPU support list.
