Ok without the fanboy responses, I just want an educated response or discussion on whether it is best to spend my $200 on a Athlon 64 3200+ or a P4 3.0GHz.

(Leaning towards the 3200+ atm because pcclub has more $100 range agp motherboards available for Athlon 64)

The A64. PCClub is a good vendor and you can jump on their forum to ask about the choices you make before you buy.

G5 laptop and dual cores sounds nice...so does SLI graphics cards but I gotta budget sometimes =(

Well I'm gonna go with the 3200+...now the search continues by looking for the cheapest but upgradable agp motherboard I can find at pcclub...

Whatever you choose go with the best you can afford. Save up if you have to because take it from someone who knows firsthand, nothing is worse than a cheap motherboard.
