Quick question about upgrading from my Athlon 64 3500 to Opteron 180 Denmark. My mother board supports the dual core and it is 939 but should I or would it be better to upgrade my RAM as well? I have 2x1024 DDR400. Should I go DDR2? Or is it even an option for me?

I believe DDR and DDR2 have different sockets, 184 pin versus 240 pin I think .
