I just moved and got a few more roommates, and we'd like to add them to my previous wireless router. It is a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router, and we are running three different types of computers. The router used to work fine, but then I tried to set up a new wireless router setup for them to sign on and nothing is working wirelessly.
I get a "limited or no connectivity" when trying to connect to the router wirelessly. When I'm physically plugged into the router it works just fine, but that defeats the point of the router.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Pat

See this recent thread, especially response 1, 3, and 7:
http://www.computing.net/answers/wi...It is a GOOD idea to connect at least one computer in your own local network to the router via a network cable if you can - it helps make the wireless more reliable.
For your own computer, once you have connected a computer by using a network cable to the router to get onto the internet, if you want to use a wireless connection rather than the wired one, you will problem have to run the Set up a wireless network wizard again in Network Places to get the computer to connect to the internet wirelessly again (have the wired cable unplugged when you run it).
Be aware that running that wizard, or the regular Set up a network wizard, sets the Workgroup to MSHome by default - if that is not the workgoup name, change it to the workgroup name.
