Reply: (edit)- The RAM's definitely a bottlenck, but it wouldn't cause crashing unless it's defective or a setting is off. Double check the BIOS. The RAM should be running at 133MHz (DDR266) & the CPU at 200MHz (800FSB). There may be a CPU:DRAM ratio setting...it should be at 3:2 or 6:4 - It could be a power supply issue. - Make sure your IDE config is correct. Don't pair up 2 HDDs on the same cable, & don't pair up 2 optical drives either. If you have a burner, it should be the 2ndary master. Reply: (edit)This is just IMHO but quality RAM should go with quality parts. A relatively small RAM investment goes a long way,and I would reccomend at least 256 MB more, and preferably another 512 stick.Running XP on 512 alone is kind of dicey with your sound and graphics, despite the 256 onboard memory. I also wonder about the PSU,did it come with the case or did you buy it seperately? Any PSU that weighs less than a pound is suspect and probabaly poorly engineered. Have you checked for Device Driver conflicts?
