At first, while i was watching vcd's the pc hung, and i restarted. but in startup, it won't start in normal mode. my cd-rom won't work and i got it fixed, then i re-installed windows me, just when the pc restarts, there appears a blue screen, an error of some sort, and windows cannot setup normally. my desktop only has 16 colors and when i setup my video-card which was creative rivatnt2, the same problem occurs, can't restart due to the blue-screen error. i formatted, then tested the hd on other pc's it works fine, but when i plug it back on, a boot failure appears, and cannot detect my hd, i think it was the motherboard.. need help guys, i've turned to every technicians here, seems to make my head ache more....tnx

I have had similar problems with my PC. Before replacing MB, put in some different RAM if you have any available, as well as a different processor to see if that resolves the problem. Maybe you will be lucky and it will only be bad RAM. I don't know if you or the technicians have done this already. Best of luck to you.
