Hello Anyone
I hope you can help and are still there :( I have read this entire forem for a fix as I am having knightmares :(.
I have a GA-7VA600 and a XP2600 with a 333FSB, but my motherboard is only picking it up as a XP2000. The Bios FSB range only allows you to set it between 133~165 or 100~132 if you leave the switch on the motherboard at default. My orriginal Bios was F5 and I upgraded to F^ as this was only only one I could find. Can you please help???

Thanks

Chuckles

So set your FSB to 165. That will give you a 333 FSB. Just make sure your multiplier is set correctly or is at least set to auto. To get you require multiplier for 333 FSB you need to divide the actual clock speed of you Processor by the FSB of 333.
Example: 333/2400=7.2 so you would set your multiplier at 7.
Good Luck.

Correct operation
2000+ (266MHz bus) 1667 MHz (12.5 * 133.3 = 1666)
2600+ (266MHz bus) 2133 MHz (16.0 x 133.3 = 2133)
2600+ (333MHz bus) 2083 MHz (12.5 x 166.6 = 2083)

I am assuming you actually have the Gigabyte GA-7VT600 motherboard.
Is SW1 set to "Auto"?

SW1 on motherboard
100MHz : Fix FSB 200MHz CPU
Auto : Support FSB 266/333 MHz CPU

If so then you should have these choices in the

Frequency/Voltage Control in BIOS
CPU Host Frequency (MHz) (By switch SW1)
100 Set CPU Host Clock to 100MHz~132MHz. (you might not see this)
133 Set CPU Host Clock to 133MHz~165MHz.
166 Set CPU Host Clock to 166MHz~200MHz.

Your board might not support the 2600+ (333MHz bus version). Maybe
a new future BIOS version will fix this.

AMD's web site only shows this GA-7VT600 version to support the
2600+ (333MHz bus version) is the GA-7VT600 1394

Hello egkenny

Sorry yes I have the GA-VT600 M/B SW1 is set to auto but the only option is to move between "133 Set CPU Host Clock to 133MHz~165MHz" not "166 Set CPU Host Clock to 166MHz~200MHz". I have the latest Bios F6 and this does not open up the possiblity of a 333FSB. If anyone can help or get me a Bios that will fix it I would love to know? ;)

Thanks

Chuckles1001
