Specs: Windows 2000
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have a thin red line which comes on the left of the screen. It appears everytime I boot-up and sometimes disappear depending on how I position the screen.
Also, the button mouse is not working and I have to waith for a minute or two before the following keys become operational - 6,7,y,
u,h,j,n, and m.
Any suggestions as to what I do to solve these problems?
Thank you.

From the symptoms, it sounds like it's a laptop, and you have some hardware problems. Possibly poor cable connections to the keyboard and screen. Taking it to a qualified laptop repairman is probably the best idea.

FWIW to XP users: When you click on the 'Command Prompt' you are just causing the 'Command prompt' to be displayed. This prompt gives you access to NTVDM.EXE, the 'NT Virtual DOS Manager'.

Is it still under Warranty?

We’re not all the same
What a shame" - Shinedown
