Problem with nVidia 9800GTX

Specs: Windows XP, Intel Dualcore 2.66GHz/ 3.25 Gb
Hi, I have a huge problem with my grafic card.
When I start a computor it starts ''normally'' with those white letters on black screen and all, but with those white letters are also small white vertical lines who are mixed with white letters in right order (they are one to an another with equal space between them).
But that's not all...
When the sistem rises fully I can't set my rezolution how I want and it's always on 800x600.
Also, I can't install driver for my grafic card and when I try to install the picture on the screen starts going wild and in the end I have double or triple picture on the screen.
I was angry about it and I thought I will go to the service.
Yesterday I deleted some files and I saw some difference on the rezolution. I went to the display properties and I saw that I can change rezolution. I installed my driver and everything worked perfectlly. There was no more white vertical lines on the start screen and I thought the problem was fixed. Well... It wasn't...
I installed Call of Duty : Moderan Warfare 2 and I wanted to play it because I couldn't play any game before because the driver couldn't be installed.
When I started to play the game froze and I restarted the computer. When the sistem got up the computer ''asked'' should ''he'' start normally or in the safe mode. I pressed normally and everything was back the way it was.
Someone help. What should I do to fix him??

The video card is bad but baking it in oven will fix the problem.
