Problem with audio hq

CPU/Ram: 768ddr ram amd 1800+

I have a problem with the software that come with my sound card, it is the sound blaster live card. Now when i click on the icon to open the control center to adjust the souround and eax, it wont open, should i reinstall it if the shortcuts dont work. And also i have a 5.1 system and it keeps thinking i have 4. I set windows to tell it to be 5.1 but will the 4.1 settign interfear?

The first thing I would try and do is try and download the latest version of the driver from the soundblaster website. This should solve the issue.
