I recently purchased the Simply Phone from Sharper Image for making phone calls on skype. I have had many problems with the phone, with regards to the test call through skype.
We have tested the phone's microphone using the "Test Hardware" feature on the audio devices section of the control panel.
We have double checked that the selected hardware is in fact the phone and not anything built onto the computer (USB Device, instead of Sigma Tel Microphone).
When testing the hardware, sound was detected and played back, showing that the microphone of the phone itself works.
When performing the skype test call, skype says that no sound is detected, which is peculiar, considering that the Windows hardware test says otherwise.
All appropriate drivers have been installed properly and everything has been checked thouroughly. Is there a setting we are overlooking?
Any help is appreciated.
