Problem with ATI 9000 pro

Hello i have recently installed a ati 9000 pro card and to my dismay i monitor screen flickers constantly even i have flashed my bios and got all the drivers right . More importantly it is not only while running the windows , but while loading xp also it flickers . Is it due to my card or anything

I had the same problem on my AIW 7500 and I
couldn't change the refresh rate.I fixed my problem by uninstalling ATI Control Panel then in regedit I deleted all ATI files EXCEPT "ATI Drivers".
Also in your BIOS(if you have these settings):
1)enable 4x AGP
2)disable all Video and BIOS cachables
3)set AGP aperture to your RAM x.5 or 256 if you have <512MB of RAM
4)disable Video Shadow
5)disable Fast-Writes
