Can anyone help me? I have just recently installed another DVD RW (already have one installed) on my system, problem is that it doesnt work properly. I have check the drive and it is working properly. When i start the comp it detects the drive as normal on the IDE, however, when windows has booted up, and i place a disc in the new drive, it says that it could not be read due to an I/O problem???
Can you only have 1 DVD RW per system?
I have now placed a normal CDRW in its place on my system and it is working perfectly (CDRW drive).
Is there some setting that need to be changed for have 2 DVDRW's on the same system?
I have tried changing all the position for the drive (Master & Slave) and even on a seconardy IDE i get these problems and nothing will work on that drive. But the drive is not faulty.
Has anyone encountered this problem before, and does anyone know a solution?

Thanks
gbgunner

Windows 'sometimes' has problems with two optical drives on the same cable. Have you tried splitting up the optical drives on different cables?

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!!!
