problem printing from wireless printer

Dell V305w all-in-one printer

Specs: Windows 7, P8700
Hi, a newbie to this community. I have just connected up my new Dell V305w wireless printer after my HP PSCF died - the drivers appeared to install correctly, printer connects to lap-top OK, printer and ink status appears on computer peripherals section OK, test page prints out wireless OK, scanner/copier prints OK - but when I attempt to print anything from the computer (wireless or USB connected), only page headers, paragraph blocks, and live-links appear on the printed page - none of the text is printed.
Using a Dell 1555, DC P8700 processors, running Windows7.

Is this internet pages (Internet Explorer) only?
Do other pages print OK?

Hi modify. I don't appear to be able to get any sheets, apart from the printer test page, to print text at all. I haven't tried too many print sources, as I am aware that these Dells suffer from ink dipsomania, and I don't want to waste too many ink carts until I am sure that it is printing a basic print job. I have tried removing the dell printer software and re-installing - still no good. I did notice that when I did the second install, an error message came up (MS.Net framework V2 is required for this installation) but when I downloaded this prog. from MS and attempted to install it I had a message pop up that it was already installed! I just love those little notes from MS, I wish I was a little more computer literate!! Now, where's my hammer?
Would greatly appreciate any thoughts on this, Warrior193.
