I have installed the driver and Paperport software for IBM Ideascan 2000 Scanner. Everything seems to be OK, and the icon appears in the taskbar. However, when I try to scan something, I get this error message:
"There is a problem loading the scanner driver. Please try again. If this problem reoccurs exit some applications and try again."
No other applications are open. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall with selective startup and no other drivers loaded, but this doesn't work. I did install Olympus CAMEDIA software at one point, but I'm not sure this is the problem. I have uninstalled CAMEDIA, all the scanner software, and reinstalled only the scanner software, but still no luck. I had the scanner working on this computer at some point until recently, so I don't know what the problem is. I have also tried deleting it from device manager and letting windows detect and reinstall the driver.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just an idea, but do you have the correct driver installed? Make sure it's for 98 and not XP.
Keep Smiling
It makes them think you're up to something...
