Specs: vista home premium, intel core 2 e4400/1 gb ram
Hi the graphics card was causing problems on my pc around a years ago , so we took it out and have been using it with the one on motherboard . As our Daughter wants to plays sims 3 we bought a geforce 120 1024mb and installed it , it installed with drivers on cd then updated online and then when we start up pc just freezes , mouse won't respond .I have read online other problems with this graphic card but no one seems to have solved the problem , should i just try and take it back and get a refund .
Also does sims 3 seem to burn out graphics cards as both our laptop and that pc where sims was played weve had the cards pack up , i have another pc with a geforce gt240 but not wanted to install the game there just incase , and also a new laptop with intel chpset 3000 are we best to avoid intalling the game on these pcs?

Did u try to use the video card with only Microsoft driver?
Don't use the driver from the CD instead download this driver
Win Vista 32 bit
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-w...
Win vista 64 bit
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-w...

The only video card u have that is good for gaming is GT 240.
I don't think the Sims 3 is killing your cards, i remember one time this nvidia driver (196.75) used to kill v-cards.

Agreed, take the '210 card back if possible and get a decent card that can handle the game and while you are there, make sure that your power supply can handle the card you select.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

thoses= geforce 210 are garabge for anything that deals with real gaming. You need to get a better graphics card.
