Hello
i need to format my pentium II ibm pc, so i'm seaching for a driver for my mother borad
on wich it is inscripted the number 61H2500 (and there is also a sticker with : P/N 61H2471) but i can't find any result on google, nore on ibm.com or driverguide.com.
How can i proceed? knowing that i haven't the driving cd for my mobo and i can't format may pc and work on it if i can't install a drivr for the mobo..

I am not sure what you mean by "drivers for the mobo....". Are you talking about chipset drivers?? I am not sure a mobo that old had them; doesn't your harddrive work, or doesn't the BIOS recognize it? Does your CDROM work? Please give some additional details about the problem you are having.

First, thanks for answering..
I mean by "driver for the mobo": the express installer for the mother borad ..
all i want to do is to format my pc (it hasn't any problem of those you expected) and if i format it , when i reinstall windows, the pc won't read the mother board if i don't load the express installer for the mother board (normally it is a cd , but i don't have it so i wana find it on the web , and i can't)..

found just one, pc 300gl Tranlated from german, here is a bit of what that person described

"Designation 61H2500 and/or P/N 61H2471. It was supposed in IBM PC 300GL. It has a 500MHz P3 (Slot 1), VIA Apollo chip set, 3 PCI and 1 AGP card location, it has 2 SD RAM base, sound (ESS) onboard"

You might go to IBM and see if this site can automatically detect the drivers needed:
