After i installed window XP on my PC, the color quality on the monitor shows 16 bits
and i can't adjust the screen resolution. How do i solve this?

You have to install the video driver for your card or onboard chip. First make sure you install the chipset drivers for your motherboard. You should have gotten a disk with the computer. If you didn't, they should be on a restore partition on the machine.
