Do you have an mpeg-2 codec installed? All DVD software players require an mpeg-2 codec be installed. Even Windows Media Player, to play DVDs requires an mpeg-2 codec to be installed. Most dedicated DVD playing software installs an mpeg-2 codec during install of the program, or there is an mpeg-2 codec built-in to their software.
