Thanks..the error was msi.netdevicemanager40 she has tried wireless and with the cables but with no avail...same message pops up and then it uninstalls..they tried to call hp but they didn't know why either...thanks for you help :)
MSI = Microsoft Installer package. Did an Interent search (Bing) on the error provided. Wow. HP and Microsoft are not liking each other on this one. Nasty Bug in the software. Try this - looks promising http://www.techspot.com/vb/all/wind... Quote Uninstall that HP stuff completely. Then reboot and make sure you log in as administrator or with admin privileges. Disconnect physically from the internet. Shut down your antivirus, firewall and any other programs you may have running. Only now should you install the drivers as per HP-instructions (I think drivers first, then connect the printer). End quote
