i have a problem with my print queue for a lexmark optra r+. when i have printed something it takes ages to come through and prints one page then stops then page two then stops etc etc. i presume that is a memory problem, but what really confuses me is the printed files do not remove from the print queue, so it says (7) jobs pending even though all the (7) jobs have been printed! i think there must be a setting to flush the queue automatically? anyone any ideas? thanks in advance

control panel->printers & faxes->advanced

uncheck "keep printed documents (in spooled memory)"

hmm, as for the pausing...what are you printing? if it's a pdf or gsview/gscript file, i think it's normal...it has to send each page one by one (it has to render each page).
if it's a normal document, like microsoft word, you might need to play with the spool settings to make sure it spools everything before it starts to print
