Hi, Wonder if you can help me out. I have a Deskjet 710c, scanner is Canon CanoScan FB320P, P3 450mhz, Windows 98se. I would was able to print less then a week ago. I can not print now, using any application like Words (MO 2000), Adobe Reader 6, Outlook Express, or when I scan and print. All the application would freeze and I would have to hit ctrl+alt+del, except for the scanner. But I was able to print a test page using HP Toolbox and I also tested the communication, which said it was alright. When I try to scan and print (like a photocopy machine), I received an error- ScanCraft CS-P "No default printer on the system. Error Code 0x2c165d0." When I click on printer setup, I received another error- "Cannot find selected printer driver. Error Code: 0x2c011020". Mind you, printer works from the HP Toolbox. ***I believe after I used BPS Spyware/Adware Remover and found some spyware and I removed it, the problems started. It seems BPS spyware remover removed something to do with printing using any application (mind you there isn't any backup app. in BPS Remover). Under Device Manager-Ports there a list; Comm. Port (com1), -Comm. Port (com2) and -ECP Printer Port (LPT1) with no conflicts. I hope I gave you enough info. in fixing this problem. If you do know how to fix it, please email me a detail information, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Probably the easiest way to overcome this is to uninstall the software and drivers for your printer. Then reinstall them. I'll also question the use of BPS spyware remover. Check what Spyware Warrier has to say.
