Comment: I have a Compaq IJ300 Printer.. When I print something, the printer starts printing right away, before the paper is ready. By the time the paper reaches the printer head, the print job is almost done & only the bottom half of the photo is printed. Anyone have any ideas?

Reply: (edit)I don't know this particular printer, but try looking in the printer's properties, usually under something like 'advanced' & make sure it isn't set to 'print directly to printer' - try selecting the 'spool' option which should allow you to spool pages before printing commences - may allow time for printer to initialise. Reply: (edit)The symptoms would seem to indicate that the there is a problem with a paper sensor. The printer might think it has a sheete in place when it realy doesn't. I would try blowing out the paper path with a can of compressed air. Compaq tech support might be some help.
