Solved printer problem ink dried up

Specs: Windows 7
I have Canon pixma printer 9 months old, almost always print text. Now unable to print in colour despite doing several head cleans.

Margaret, they do dry up sometimes. My advice would be to replace it.

thanks for your advice, I was hoping not to have to do this. It seems crazy and not very environmentally to throw away an otherwise as-new printer just because the ink has dried up. Could someone not invent a detergent. Will remember in future to print something in colour as well as black every week.
