RET - default not available on one of 7 networked computers

win2k, 256ram, pent4;
Printer= HP Laserjet 4P. I matched all 7 computer's printer configuration options for printing to a network printer. One computer prints gray and does NOT have RET default setting available. Only option for the utility - RET is "on - off".
I - reinstalled the latest driver for HP Laserjet 4P;
updated Win2k operating system latest service patches.
I uninstalled the networked printer, rebooted, reinstalled the network printer.
All other printer configurations match with the other 6 computers - - - except this one that does NOT have the option for RET default. Only - "on - off"

just formated HD; 512RAM; Pent4;
OS was Win2000 in 64fat. After formating, I was not given a choice when attempting to install Win 2000.
I want to install 32FAT so I can install Win 98.
