I used my old computer to do some simple works but it suddenly hanged and the ctrl-alt-del didnt work. The system shows the message "Primary Master Hard disk Fail" when I reset the computer. and then message "Disk boot failure, please insert system disk and enter" . What should I do if I don't have system disk? Thanks for help.

a)Create a dos boot disc on a floppy on another pc and use this to start your pc, in order to investigate the problem. b) Before (a) above, check the bios hdd settings in case cmos battery failure has caused then to reset to defaults. c)If really a disc failure - (with the pc switched OFF) I would try reseating the hdd cables. ----- When W95 was installed it should have created a startup disc on a floppy, which is used for fail situations. Once the hdd is recognised by the pc, you may find you need this. If you do not have, you will have to borrow one from elsewhere. Good luck - keep us posted.

before you do ANYTHING, open the case and make sure that the cables (power AND IDE) are both seated.
