Primary master drive - atapi incompatible

I built a bare bones pc through my school and I am having a hard time getting it to boot.
It states:
Auto-Detecting SATA 1..ATAPI CD-ROM
Auto-Detecting SATA 2...IDE Hard Disk
SATA 1: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-H663B
Ultra DMA Mode-5
SATA 2: ST3500412AS CC32
Ultra DMA Mode-5
Primary Master Drive - ATAPI Incompatible
Press F1 to Resume
Any information would be greatly appreciated and if you need more info please let me know. Thank you!!!!

How is this even possible. IDE drives are PATAs. Do you have some kind of PATA to SATA converter connected?

This is usually do to not using an UDMA cable. You can not use a standard IDE cable you have to use ATAPI cable or jumper the Cable Select on the drive but then you kill the performance.
