Looking to upgrade to Athlon xp 3000+. Best price I have found is £80. With the new Sempron/64 CPUs am I best hanging on for prices to drop further?

Yeah. I would advise you to hang on to your money and get an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 939 system because 64 bit is around the corner and it's only a matter of time until almost everything will start becoming 64 bit. I have seen an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 939 for only 150 bucks and it's only a matter of time before they drop even lower. Just wait until the dual core processors come out in the new few months because then you will see single core processors drop in more in price.
