Hi, glad to find a forum you don't have to register with concerning computer troubleshooting! I ran into a problem where, I burned a DVD-R Data Disc a few months ago. Now I want to put the data back onto my computer, but to my surprise, I popped the disc in my DVD-RW Drive and the computer recognizes it as a Blank DVD. For some reason, it still shows up as "0 bytes free of 4.16 GB" so I know there is data on there, but can't access it with the computer thinking it's blank.

I did a little research and I think I may have forgotten to close the disc after burning? I was wondering how I would go about that.

With it being recognized as a blank disc, it gives me formatting options upon clicking on the DVD-RW Drive with Live File System under adv options. Not sure if that would let me close the disc with the data (UDF?) that's there or if it would erase it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nevermiiiind!!! XD I solved my own problem somehow or another. I read something about the DVD being finalized with a master burn after you eject the disc. I ejected the disc, popped it back in and VOILA! Readable data! Thank God. There's a little info for anyone else that's having that problem. Could be due to me using IObit Gamebooster2 as well. Problem solved!
