I have a Presario 1200 laptop and it stopped booting. I've looked to see if there is a problem with that model. I have seen numerous people who have problems with it just stopping booting one day. The unit will not even power up. I've tried it with only battery, only A/C, I have removed all drives and tried it, and I can't access the BIOS. Is there a specific problem with this model? Help!!!!!

Several possibilities:
- The A/C port on the system could be bad. Try to get a known "good and charged" battery to test with. If it works, your A/C port will need rework.
- CPU/MEM could be bad. (Often the cause of no POST.) It's unfortunately not always easy to open up a laptop to replace them though.

You can try your local repair ship or www.cpumart.com has a good "flat-rate by incident" laptop repair warehouse.

Good luck!
