PPro Faster then P2?

I had a Pentium Pro 266Mhz but the system went out. I have a chance to get a P2 266Mhz, im wondering what is faster? I know PPro's go alot faster then what they say.

The ppro is faster but its the way molasses pours faster than syrup on a picnic in January.

LOL! I like your CNET article! Intel had the audasity to say 64 bit CPUS would be readily avaiable in the first half of 1999, back in 1996! HEHE

The Pro were designed for Wirkstations whilst P2 are MMX therefore should handle graphics/sound etc better. As to speed it is relative to what you are trying to do, but would expect the P2 to be a superior product overall for day to day computing
